— Keeping Your Piece Beautiful —
Your handcrafted memorial is made to be treasured for years to come. Select your product below to jump straight to its care guide.
Caring for Your Wool Felt Creation
This care guide covers both of our handcrafted wool felt pieces:
Portrait Wool Felt Pet Portrait — a detailed framed likeness of your pet's face, from $309.
Sculpture Wool Felt Pet Sculpture — a full-body 3D figure of your pet, from $649.
Both are crafted with the same premium wool, glass eyes, and fine wire armature, and share the same care requirements. Where there is a difference, we've noted it clearly below.
With gentle care, your wool felt creation will remain a beautiful reminder of your beloved companion for years to come.
Display Guidelines
1. Treat it as a Keepsake
Your wool felt creation is a handcrafted work of art meant for display, not a toy. It contains delicate materials including premium wool, glass eyes, and fine wire armature.
2. Choose the Right Location
Display away from:
- Direct sunlight (UV rays fade colours)
- Moisture and humidity
- Excessive dust
- Heat sources (radiators, heaters)
Best locations: Shelves, mantels, or wall-mounted areas with indirect natural light.
3. Consider Glass Protection
Portrait A frame or display case provides excellent long-term protection while showcasing your portrait's beauty. This is especially important if you have other pets in the home.
Sculpture Because the sculpture is fully three-dimensional, a glass display case or bell jar is ideal for protecting the entire figure, including the tail, ears, and any fine details.
Cleaning Instructions
1. Regular Dusting
Use a soft, dry cloth or gentle puff of air. A hairdryer on the lowest, coolest setting works well for removing dust from hard-to-reach areas.
2. Never Use Water
Avoid damp cloths, water, or cleaning products — they can damage the wool and cause felting to deteriorate.
3. Trim Loose Fibres
Gently trim any fuzzy fibres with small scissors. Don't pull on the wool — this can unravel the felting.
Handling Tips
1. Wash Your Hands First
This prevents transferring oils or dirt to the wool, which can attract dust and cause discolouration over time.
2. Support Properly When Moving
Portrait Handle gently and support from underneath. Avoid gripping by delicate parts like ears, tails, or protruding elements.
Sculpture Always lift from the body — never pick up a sculpture by the legs, tail, or head. The wire armature inside can bend or weaken over time with improper handling.
3. Keep Away from Children and Pets
This is crucial: Your memorial contains natural wool that can be attractive to pets, especially dogs and cats. The wool scent may cause them to chew or paw at the piece.
If you have other pets in the home, display your creation in a glass frame or case, or behind closed doors to prevent damage.
What to Avoid
❌ Never use tape, lint rollers, or adhesives on the wool
❌ Avoid moisture, humidity, and direct sunlight
❌ Don't attempt to wash or wet clean
❌ Never leave within reach of pets — the natural wool scent can attract animals
❌ Avoid touching with dirty or oily hands
❌ Don't store in plastic bags — wool needs to breathe
Long-Term Storage
- Wrap carefully in acid-free tissue paper
- Place in a sturdy box with padding on all sides
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Check periodically for any signs of moisture or pests
- Keep away from pets even during storage
Sculpture Note When boxing a sculpture, ensure it cannot roll or shift — pad all sides snugly to keep the figure stable and prevent the armature from bending.
Special Note About Pets
Why this matters: Natural wool retains scents that are highly attractive to dogs, cats, and other animals. Even the most well-behaved pet may be drawn to investigate or chew on your memorial.
We strongly recommend:
- Displaying behind glass (frame or display case)
- Placing on high shelves out of reach
- Keeping in rooms where pets don't have access
- Using closed cabinets or display cases if you have particularly curious pets
If your pet does damage the memorial, contact us immediately. Depending on the extent of damage, repairs may be possible. Our Extended Warranty covers minor accidental damage.
Caring for Your Memory World Memorial
Your Memory World is a one-of-a-kind miniature sanctuary, hand-assembled with a wool felt sculpture, dried botanicals, moss, and a protective acrylic dome. Each element is delicate — the care you give it ensures it remains a living tribute for generations.
Display Guidelines
1. Keep the Dome On at All Times
The acrylic dome is your memorial's best friend. It shields the wool felt sculpture, botanicals, and moss from dust, humidity, and accidental contact. Only remove it briefly and carefully when needed for cleaning.
2. Choose the Right Location
Display away from:
- Direct sunlight — UV rays will fade both the wool and dried botanicals over time
- Moisture and humid areas (bathrooms, kitchens)
- Air conditioning or heating vents — forced air dries out botanicals and can dislodge delicate elements
- High-traffic areas where it may be knocked over
Best locations: A dedicated shelf, bookcase, or display cabinet with indirect natural light.
3. Keep it on a Stable, Level Surface
The miniature scene inside is hand-arranged and cannot be easily reset if disturbed. Place on a flat, stable surface and avoid areas prone to vibration (e.g., near washing machines or speakers).
Cleaning the Acrylic Dome
1. Wipe the Outside Only
Use a soft, lint-free microfibre cloth to gently wipe the exterior of the dome. This is sufficient for regular maintenance.
2. For Fingerprints or Smudges
Slightly dampen the cloth with water — do not spray water directly onto the dome. Dry immediately with a second clean cloth.
3. Never Use Harsh Cleaners
Avoid glass cleaners, alcohol wipes, or abrasive cloths — these can scratch or cloud the acrylic surface, permanently affecting clarity.
4. The Interior
The interior of the dome should not need regular cleaning. If dust has entered, use a can of compressed air on the lowest setting, held at a distance, to gently clear it. Do not introduce any moisture inside the dome.
Handling Tips
1. Always Lift from the Base
When moving your Memory World, hold the base with two hands. Never lift or carry it by the dome — the dome may separate, or the scene inside may shift.
2. Do Not Shake or Tilt Sharply
The miniature botanical elements are fixed but delicate. Sudden movement can dislodge flowers, moss, or other scene elements.
3. Wash Your Hands Before Handling
Oils and residue from skin can leave marks on the acrylic dome and the base over time.
4. Keep Away from Children and Pets
The Memory World contains small decorative elements, natural wool, and an acrylic dome that can shatter if dropped. Keep on a high shelf or in a room inaccessible to young children and pets.
What to Avoid
❌ Never spray water, cleaners, or polish directly onto the dome or base
❌ Do not remove the dome frequently — each removal risks disturbing the interior scene
❌ Avoid direct sunlight — will fade botanicals and wool irreversibly
❌ Never place in humid environments — moisture damages both wool and dried botanicals
❌ Do not use abrasive cloths on the acrylic dome — will cause permanent scratching
❌ Keep away from pets and children at all times
Long-Term Storage
- Keep the dome securely in place before packing
- Wrap the entire piece in soft cloth or bubble wrap — avoid plastic wrapping directly against the acrylic
- Place upright in a sturdy box with padding on all sides
- Store in a cool, dry location away from sunlight and fluctuating temperatures
- Do not stack anything on top of the box
Special Note About the Botanicals
The dried flowers and moss used in your Memory World are natural materials. Over many years, they may very gradually lose some vibrancy — this is the natural character of preserved botanicals and part of what makes each piece truly one-of-a-kind. Keeping the dome on and away from direct sunlight will significantly slow this process.
Caring for Your LumiPet Display
Your LumiPet is a holographic display that brings your pet to life with a gentle, luminous glow. With minimal care, it will remain a radiant tribute on your desk, shelf, or bedside table.
Display Guidelines
1. Choose the Right Spot
Best displayed:
- Indoors on a flat, stable surface — desk, bedside table, shelf, or mantel
- In a dimmer environment for the most vivid holographic effect
- Away from direct sunlight, which reduces the visibility of the display
2. Keep Away from Liquids
The LumiPet is an electronic device. Keep it away from water, drinks, and humid areas such as bathrooms. Never use it with wet hands.
3. Ventilation
Do not place the LumiPet inside enclosed spaces while it is operating. Allow adequate airflow around the base unit.
Cleaning Instructions
1. Unplug Before Cleaning
Always turn off and unplug the LumiPet before wiping it down.
2. Clean the Display Panel
Use a soft, dry microfibre cloth to gently wipe the acrylic display panel. Wipe in one direction to avoid micro-scratches.
3. Clean the Base Unit
Wipe the base with a slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately. Do not allow water near the charging port or any openings.
4. Never Use Harsh Products
Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, glass sprays, or abrasive cloths — these can scratch the display panel or damage the surface finish.
Charging & Power
1. Use the Included Cable
Always charge using the cable provided. Using incompatible chargers or fast-charging adapters may affect performance over time.
2. Do Not Leave Plugged In Continuously
For long-term battery health, avoid leaving the LumiPet plugged in indefinitely when not in use. Unplug once fully charged.
3. Storage When Not in Use
If storing for an extended period, charge to approximately 50–70% before storing. Power it on once every few months to maintain battery health.
Handling Tips
1. Handle the Display Panel with Care
The acrylic display panel is the most delicate part of the LumiPet. Avoid pressing on it, dropping it, or placing heavy objects against it.
2. Keep Away from Children and Pets
The LumiPet contains electronic components and a fragile display panel. Keep out of reach of young children and pets.
3. Avoid Extreme Temperatures
Do not leave the LumiPet in a hot car, near a heater, or in freezing conditions. Extreme temperatures can affect the battery and display quality.
What to Avoid
❌ Never expose to water or moisture — it is an electronic device
❌ Do not use abrasive cloths or chemical cleaners on the display panel
❌ Avoid dropping or applying pressure to the acrylic display
❌ Do not use fast-charging adapters — use only the included cable
❌ Never leave in direct sunlight for extended periods
❌ Do not operate in enclosed spaces without ventilation
Troubleshooting
Display not turning on?
Ensure the LumiPet is charged. Connect to power and wait a few minutes before attempting to turn on again.
Display looks dim?
The holographic effect is most vivid in lower ambient light. Try dimming the room lights or moving the LumiPet away from bright windows.
